Veit Koerner woods, 1/2 mile south of Hilliard, Ohio. White ash and red oak which have come in following heavy cutting in a beech-maple woodland. There is a dense understory of spice bush with an occasional sugar maple sapling. There are many small white ash seedlings which are suppressed by the spice bush. Soil flat, rather poorly drained. Red oak in right foreground 14.5" dbh. Two white ash trees on left 11" and 12", respectively. Item #5278 |
