dc.description |
The "Depere" was built by Rand and Burger, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in 1873 for the Goodrich Company. She was sold and renamed "State of Michigan" in December 1891. She sprang a leak when a piston punctured her hull on October 18, 1901, off the mouth of the White River in Michigan. Her crew was rescued by the tug "McGraff;" the "McGraff" began to tow the "State of Michigan," but she was lost. |
