dc.description The wooden passenger steamer built at Santa Haven, Michigan in 1888 was christened "H.W. Williams;" she was eventually renamed the "Tennessee." She was destroyed by fire at Manistee on Lake Michigan on October 26, 1927. At that time she was sailing as the "Pere Marquette No. 8" and was owned by the Pere Marquette Company.
