dc.description Built in Goderich, Ontario, in 1904, the "Caribou" was owned by the Dominion Transportion Company of Owen Sound, Ontario. She ran Lake Superior - Georgian Bay routes, as well as operated with the "Manitoulin" under joint sailings with the Owen Sound Transportation Company from Owen Sound to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. After years on the ferry route between Tobermory and Manitoulin, the "Caribou" made her final voyage on October 3, 1946.
