American Shipbuilding Company of Chicago built this ship in 1910. It replaced a ship with the same name that sank in Lake Michigan on September 9, 1910; twenty-nine people drowned in the sinking. The ship photographed sailed until 1952. She was used as a floating warehouse until she was scrapped in 1955. |
