The "Indianapolis," built at Craig Shipbuilding Company of Toledo, Ohio, in 1903, sailed just one season on the Great Lakes. Her owner, Indiana Transportation Company of Michigan City, Indiana, sold the ship to Puget Sound Navigating Company, Seattle, Washington.
