dc.description The "New Island Wanderer" was built in Buffalo in 1888. She carried passengers out of Clayton, New York, to tour among the Thousand Islands. Around 1920, she was sold and converted to a tug renamed the "Jeanette R." In August of 1946, E. A. Gardner of Rochester presented her to the Canada Steamship Company for service in the new passenger steamer.
