Built in 1903 by the American Ship Building Company in Cleveland, Ohio, the "Milwaukee" carried railcars for the Grand Trunk Line. She foundered and sank in a gale on Lake Michigan on October 22, 1929. Her crew of 52 and cargo of 27 loaded boxcars were lost.
