dc.description The Sandusky River flowed north from Tiffin between the properties of the Tomb family, on the east bank, and the Abbott family on the west. The river also split around an island owned by the Abbott family. Bodies of some of the Tiffin flood fatalities were found on the Tomb farm and on Abbott's Island.
