dc.description Henry Cooke, Jr. rows "through the intricate channels of the pond near the Government Fish Hatchery" during the Cooke family's vacation in July 1901. The fish hatchery on South Bass Island was located on Peach Point, an area accessible from Squaw Harbor. The Gibraltar Record contains many references to sailing in Squaw Harbor.
