dc.description The Hotel Victory at Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island opened July 4, 1892. There were luxurious accommodations for 625 guests. Rev. Henry Cooke believed that "so far they [the owners] have furnished it [the Hotel Victory] very handsomely and it is said that there is nothing with which to find fault...."
