dc.description Ice harvesters lead a horse with ice cutting plow across a snow-covered ice field in preparation for the 1913 harvest. Inter-State Ice Company, a Cleveland, Ohio, wholesaler of natural ice, purchased the Sandusky, Ohio, firm of City Ice Delivery that year. The acquisition included nine icehouses and an "artificial" ice plant at Sandusky, Ohio, and ice houses in Danbury and Norwalk, Ohio.
