dc.description |
Tufa rock is a porous rock formed when water with a heavy lime content evaporates. Abundant limestone deposits, lots of underground rivers, sink holes - like the Blue Hole - and marshes around Castalia made a fertile ground for the growth of tufa rock. Evaporating water left mineral deposits that encrusted twigs, small pebbles, etc. and grew into unique rock formations. |
