dc.description John Stokes, an Irish immigrant, bought property from the Eldridge family about 1850. He built his wine cellar in the 1880s. He lived on Kelleys Island until the mid 1920s. This building was taken down and rebuilt as a dormitory by the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament, a Catholic society.
