Doug Beaver of Fremont, Ohio, lifted weights for about 15 years prior to this photograph and had won several body building titles, including Mr. Mid-States. He placed eighth in the Mr. America Contest. Doug did most of his weight training at the Fremont, Ohio, YMCA.
