A "Sandusky Daily Register" reporter quoted Bing as saying, "I don't want anyone to know when or where I am going to give my aeroplane a tryout for the simple reason that I want to be alone...and will be alone or there'll be no flight....Am I sure that my airship will sail in the air? Just as certain of it as I am that my automobile is going to take me...anyplace when I start the machinery and manipulate the steering apparatus in accordane with my desires."
