dc.description Decoration - or Memorial - Day was observed as a general holiday at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. All unnecessary work was suspended, and all officers of the Home and all members who were able assembled at 8:30 a.m. bugle to march to the parade grounds. The officer of the day then assigned positions in line for a parade to the cemetery.
