dc.description A Lake Shore "Fast Mail" pulled by a Pacific steam locomotive travels along the shore of Lake Erie near Venice, Ohio. The small box in the lower right is a switch light on a spur. The New York Central Railroad used only two colors, lunar white and, usually, red.
