dc.description	The supports of the covered bridge that spanned the Sandusky River at Ballville caught debris carried by the racing flood waters. Rumors circulated that the bridge's abutments had weakend and/or collapsed. Eventually the cost of damage to this and other bridges, roads, and streets in Sandusky County amounted to $95,000.
