The Fremont, Ohio, city swimming pool at Rodger Young Park opened and was flooded with people who wanted to cool off in the humid, hot weather. Pool Manager Ron Brandt said some 900 people were at the pool on opening day. Third-year life guard Sue Wolf watched the swimmers.
