dc.description Weldon B. Cooke began designng and building flying boats inside the Davis Boat Works Company building at Sandusky, Ohio. This view shows "planes" (wings) under construction. Aircraft were built in sections so that they could be quickly and easily dissassembled, shipped by rail, and then reassembled.
