dc.description Thirty skilled workmen installed an immense steel pipe to carry the Sandusky River's water from above the Ballville Dam to a hydroelectric plant built below. When the dam burst on the morning of March 25, 1913, 600 feet of the pipe were broken loose and carried away on the current.
