dc.description Jay Cooke was an avid hunter and fisherman. His visits to Gibraltar Island each spring and fall were timed to take advantage of the area's abundant wildlife. This picture of Jay was taken on Middle Bass Island while on a hunting expedition. Jay Cooke stands at left, his son-in-law Charles Barney is seated at left; and his son Henry is seated at right.
