Description:
Henry Cooke recorded in the Gibraltar Record in August 1901 that he and his family and guests made frequent sailing excursions to Ballast Island. There they met a Dr. Wilson, who was summering with his family on Ballast Island. Dr. Wilson invited Henry's party to an open-air Sunday worship service on the grounds of the Gardner Cottage. Henry wrote that the photo shown "was taken many years ago. There are no vines now on the Gardner Cottage and that little bush to the left is quite a tree."
