dc.description A photograph almost identical to this image - the three people were standing closer together - was published in "The Cleveland Plain Dealer" January 13, 1918. It was printed upside down with the cutline: "Either way you look at the picture of the famous 'Blue Hole' of Castalia it looks good. It is here printed upside down to give ...an idea of the water which, as a mirror, reflects perfectly."
