dc.description Neighboring towns sent food, clothing, household goods - all sorts of necessities to assist the residents of Fremont who were washed out of their homes by the March flood. Supplies that arrived from the east were picked up at the Camel Back Bridge or the top of the East State Street hill and taken to the Croghansville School on Pine Street. The Croghansville School was Fremont's East Side Fire Station until April 2005 when it was razed to make room for a new fire station.
