dc.description Tony Jannus' fame grew after the establishment of the St. Petersburg - Tampa Airline flights. When he arrived at Cedar Point in the summer of 1914, he attracted the attention of well-known Americans such as Eugene V. Debs. and Hugh Chalmers. Chalmers not only rode with Jannus but he also encouraged more than 40 of his Chalmers Motor Car Company employees to fly.
