The corner cottages on the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home campus were designed like Cottage E, shown here. The building was shaped like a Greek cross. There was a lantern atop the intersection of the gabled roofs. The main entrance and porch sat on the diagonal between two wings of the cross. |
