dc.description |
The hospital at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home began as one cottage - Cottage I - and by 1915 consisted of eleven separate buildings connected by walkways at both ground floor and basement levels. The arrangement of the hospital was the same as the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and served as a model for hospitals in Johnson City, Tennessee, and New Mexico. |
