dc.description Compared with other cottages at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, Cottage G is more simple in design. The design had a unique porch with a second story above the main entrance. The first story windows were rectangles; the second story windows were arched but without so much colored stone as in other cottages. Cottage G was the first cottage occupied. It opened November 19, 1888.
