Early aviators were attracted to Sandusky, Ohio, by the Roberts Motor Company. Principally a producer of marine engines, Roberts Motor Company supplied some of the experimental aircraft with engines. Weldon B. Cooke was one of the first to build a plane at Sandusky, Ohio. |
