dc.description This photograph shows summer cottages at Rye Beach lining both sides of the walkway. By 1920, fifty homes existed within Rye Beach Park. That year, William Bruns turned over the park and its facilities to Sanduskians Harry W. Gosser and Dr. J.E. Herman and Bert Martin and Everett H. Krueger of Cleveland, Ohio, who formed the Rye Beach Land Company.
