dc.description When the Sandusky River flooded Fremont in March 1913, the damage to buildings was both catastrophic and capricious. The house pictured here was on Bidwell Avenue, a street lying parallel- and very close - to the river. When residents returned to clean up and salvage home and belongings, some found scenes like this. The cost to repair or rebuild homes was estimated at $181,604.
