dc.description The purpose of this study was to invetigate of mean and peak of physiological changes andrating of perceive exertion during exercises with near VVO2max intensity. Eight maleendurance runner students aged 25.5±2.92 years; height 174.62±4.98 cm; weight 69.5±7.34 kgand VO2max 47.38±3.22 ml /kg/min took part randomly in 3 interval exercises with exercise torest ratio 30 second to 15 second (IT1); 60 second to 30 second (IT2) and 120 second to 60second (IT3) that separated by two days. Oxygen uptake (with Gas analyzer); heart rate (withtelemetric system) and rating of perceive exertion (with Borg scale) were measured throughoutexercises. One way analysis variance (ANOVA) and Tukey post hoc test used for determinationof any significance difference between groups. The result showed that there was significantdifference between mean and peak of HR and VO2 in IT1 and IT3 and RPE in all groups(P<0.05). We conclude that intermittent exercises with shorter exercise and rest bouts; not onlycan impose better physiological stress upon individual; but also attenuates athlete’s rating ofperceived exertion and lets him to do exercise with more time than longer bouts and it may beincreased the peak of exercise.
