Description:
The purpose of doing this research is the effect of the strength trainings on health relatedphysical fitness factors on old men. The motive limitation and physical strengths decrease; andabnormalities; problems and diseases related to the age increase by rising age. The strengthtraining as an important factor can increase the physical abilities on old persons; and beside theeffect on performance functional status is made the imporment and decreasing problem relatedto the oldness. To do this research; it is selected 15 old person x = 65 ± 5 as subjects. Subjectsperformed the strength trainings during 10 weeks with 60% RM; after confirmation of subjectshealth. After/before 2 days of trainings; subjects performed leg press (muscular strength); sideleg raises (muscular strength); 1 mile walking-running (cardiovascular endurance) and 800mwalking. The results of this research are indicated that the strength training is meaning fullycaused the inertia improvement of subjects on tests of leg press (from x = 47 ± 2/11kg tox = 45 ± 2 / 87kg p≤0/001); side leg raises from x = 38/ 6 ± 2 / 3 repetition to x = 39 / 9 ± 2 / 50p<0/005); 1 miles walking-running (from minute to x = 11/ 42 ± 0 / 43; p<0/001) and 800 mwalking (from x = 8/ 43 ± 0/ 46 minute to x = 7 / 39 ± 0 / 56; p<0/005)). According to this thatthe strength trainings are increased the health related physical fitness on old men; then thesetrainings with given intensity are suggested for old person.
