because of physical activity importance in cardiovascular diseases prevention this study intendto investigate the effectofeight week walking program on serum lipids and estrogen hormoneconcentration in non_athlete iranian menopause women.Materials and methods: Twenty two women (47-55) were the statistical sample of this study.they were by random divided in to two groups: (including) experimental and control . at first;body mass index(BMI) characteristics; were measured and recorded .then blood sampling wastaken. Experimental group were directed to the walking program. then BM I; resting bloodsampling and serum lipids and estrogen hormone concentration were measured again.for pretestand post-test data comparison in inside groups dependent t-test and vilcacson test wereapplied .Results : According to these results;there was a significant different between serum lipids andBMI before and after the training in experimental group while non significant different wasobserved in control group .also there was not a meaningful change in estrogen hormone ingroupsConclusion: Observation; reveals that an8-week walking program had useful effects onmenopausal women’ serum lipids concentration and BMI.
