During World War II, young Asian women were forced to sexually service the Japanese Imperial Army. These "comfort women" are now coming forward to request compensation and an apology. This article examines the Japanese government's response, the failed law suits in Japanese courts, and the possibility of law suits in U.S. and international tribunals.
