Se realiza una síntesis actualizada de la distribución de los roedores del Neógeno en España señalando los cambios faunísticos más notables. También se pone de manifiesto la existencia de una diferenciación biogeográfica durante la mayor parte del Mioceno entre las cuencas del interior de la Península por una parte (Duero, Tajo, Calatayud-Teruel), que presentan formas endémicas, y las nororientales por otra (Vallés-Penedés, fundamentalmente), que parecen haber tenido mayores influencias de las faunas del resto de Europa. Al final del Mioceno hay una uniformización de las faunas de roedores de las cuencas del interior y del litoral mediterráneo en general, que durante el Plioceno se extiende también a la Francia mediterránea y que tiene una composición faunística diferente de la de Europa central y oriental. |

An updated synthesis about the distribution of the Spanish Neogene rodents is realized in this report wtih emphasis on the more conspicuous faunal changes. Also made manifest is the existence of biogeographic differences between the interior basins of Spain (Duero, Tajo, Calatayud-Teruel), having endemic forms, and the northeastern basins (primarily Vallés-Penedés), possesing more European faunal influences. A faunistic uniformisation between the rodent fauna of the interior basins and those of the Mediterranean Litoral in general occurs during the end of the Miocene, which during the Pliocene also extends to the French Mediterranean faunas. These faunas have some differences in relation the central and eastern European ones. |
