The invention relate to a method for the immobilisation of biomacromolecules on supports that are activated with epoxide groups.More specifically, the invention relates to a method for the immobilisation of enzymes and proteins on said type of support, which comprises two consecutive steps, namely: (a) very rapid ionic absorption of the enzyme on the support which is ionised under very gentle experimental conditions; and (b) intense multipoint covalent immobilisation between the previously absorbed enzyme and a very high density of epoxide groups present in the support. The main practical characteristics of said novel immobilisation method are: the very rapid immobilisation of large quantities of enzyme under very gentle experimental conditions, the possibility of stabilising the enzymes immobilised by means of multipoint covalent immobilisation to the support and the fact that no unstable reagent or toxic material is used during or after the immobilisation, etc.
