dc.descriptionThe veterans' cemetery and a small chapel occupy the western third of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home grounds. The government provided marble tombstones for the veterans. The early stones were straight across the top, but when the styles changed to curved tops, the older stones were replaced.-
