Henry Cooke, Jr. - "Harry" - son of Rev. Henry Cooke, demonstrated his resourcefulness during the family's 1894 visit to Gibraltar Island. Rev. Cooke wrote: "Our two boys [Russel and Henry, Jr.] had a good deal of fun this year coasting, on the eastern end of the island; the grass there is as slippery as glass and the hill is steep. Harry constructed both single sleds and also double runners, and really slid down to Pebly Beach with a good deal of speed."-
