| Description: | The paper provides information on sample sizes and panel attrition in the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP) for the years 1984 – 1999. Furthermore, results of the sequential estimation of non-response probabilities for the different subsamples of the GSOEP are described in detail. Die Studie gibt Informationen zu Stichprobengröße und Stichprobenentwicklung im Sozio-ökonomischen Panels (SOEP) für die Jahre 1984 bis 1999. Darüber hinaus beschreibt sie die sequentielle Schätzung der Ausfallwahrscheinlichkeiten für die verschiedenen Teilstichproben des SOEP. Diese geschätzten Wahrscheinlichkeiten sind die Grundlage der Berechnung der Hochrechnungsfaktoren im Anschluß an die jeweilige Startwelle im SOEP. |
